On the Puky Next 12, your child learns to balance playfully from age 2 – no training wheels, no pedals. The nylon frame keeps the bike very light at around 4 kg, so your child can pick it up, push it and stand it up on their own. Ideal to rent at loopi: children grow fast during the balance-bike phase – after a few months they move on to their first real bike. You only pay for as long as you actually need it.

What makes the Puky Next 12 special:

  • Light nylon frame at around 4 kg – low step-through and child-friendly ergonomics
  • 12-inch pneumatic tyres for cushioning on asphalt, forest trails and grass
  • Rear hand brake (V-brake) with a small, colour-marked brake lever – practises braking by hand early on
  • Height-adjustable saddle with a scale (inside leg 31–47 cm) and an adjustable, patented stem
  • Integrated footrest for gliding, non-slip grips with safety ends, kickstand
  • FlipChip system: can later be converted to 14-inch wheels with a separate Puky Upsize Kit (kit not included in the rental)
  • For children aged roughly 2–5, 85–115 cm tall, maximum load 25 kg

Safety: Use only with protective equipment (helmet). The balance bike is not suitable for road traffic. Only let your child ride under supervision.

FAQ

What age is the Puky Next 12 suitable for?

From around age 2, or 85 cm tall. The saddle adjusts to the inside leg (31–47 cm) via a scale, so the balance bike grows with your child up to around age 5 or 115 cm.

How is a rented balance bike cleaned?

Every pre-loved bike is inspected, cleaned, disinfected and repaired if needed at our returns centre in Muri AG before it goes back into rental. Only quality-checked bikes are rented out again.

Does the balance bike have a brake?

Yes, a rear hand brake with a small, colour-marked lever. This teaches your child to brake by hand early on – which makes the later switch to a pedal bike easier.

How much does Puky Next 12 cost at loopi?
